Toning cream is usually associated with the summer because of its light consistency, but I have been trying one out even now. I got the Toning Cream 2 in 1 from the brand Dermacol. According to their website, every forth beauty product sold in the Czech Republic is by the brand. Dermacol started developing makeup for movies in the early 1960s in the Barrandov Film Studios in Prague.
As far as the toning cream goes, I wanted to give it a try because lately I have had good skin without many breakouts and wanted something that would just cancel out a bit of redness. The drugstore, I like to shop in, has a -30% deal on all of their Dermacol products so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get a cream and test out some of the brand’s products. I already have a bunch of their lip products and their blush was the first blush I ever bought.
The toning cream is a really good product. At first, I thought the consistency was a bit waxy and it looked like the cream was going to sit on the skin, but that was not the case. I used my fingers to blend it out and it looked perfect. There are 7 shades to choose from and I got the lightest shade Ecru. The scent is powdery and reminds me of something associated with baby cosmetics, but it goes away quickly. The product is hypoallergenic , so it should be fine for everyone. The lasting power is a solid 6 hours. I use a powder to set the cream, but even before I started using a powder, it lasted at least 5 hours and my skin did not feel oily or look shiny. It gives a lovely healthy finish and still lets your natural skin texture show. Compared to BB creams or tinted moisturizers produced by other drugstore brands, I feel this really beats them and with 7 shades to choose from, you can be sure of finding a good color match and not settling for something supposedly universal.
